181,035 sq km. Population 12millions Capital : Phnom Penh. The heart of the country consists of a large central alluvial plain, drained by the Mekong river and including the Tonle Sap (Great Lake). Customs and formalities

Every traveler has to complete immigration and customs declaration forms during the arrival flight and must submit them on arrival. Tourists and non – resident carrying over USD 10,000 in cash or its equivalent must declare it to ensure they will be allowed to take out with them the amount declared.

Health Requirement

No vaccinations are presently required. If traveling to remote or border areas, travelers should check with their doctor or travel immunization clinic regarding the advisability of inoculation against. Typhoid, hepatitis, tetanus and Japanese encephaitis. 

On arrival

Visitors enter Cambodia through Phnom Penh International Airport and Siem Reap Airport. If previous booking is made, arrangements will be made an airport pick-up. If any traveler makes their own way to the city, the taxi will be take 15 minutes to reach Phnom Penh City from the airport at the cost US$ 7 and 10 minutes to reach Siem Reap City from Siem Reap Airport at a cost US$ 5.

Food

Rice and Fish, together with a tempting of herbs, sauces and spices are typical Khmer cuisine. Curries and soup with beef, pork, poultry and seafood can be bough from any street vendor at a normal change. There is no problem in Phnom Penh. The entire world’s main cuisines are found here in more than 100 restaurants such as European, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese.

Opening Hours

Government Offices are opened from 7:30am to 11:30am and resume from 14:00pm to 17:00pm, Monday to Friday. Private Offices are usually opened for business from 7:30am to 20:00pm everyday. Banks are open from 8:00am to 15:00pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00 noon. It is closed on Saturday afternoon, Sunday and public holidays. Markets are opened daily form early morning till evening.

More than 100 supervised hotels handle the yearly influx of more than haft million, visitors from all countries. Accommodation price is moderate, but those seeking luxury will be find five star deluxe hotels in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
